Born
and raised on Long Island, Mike began working professionally at age
15. While still in high school, he performed with some of the
Island's top jazz musicians and was a member of the North Shore
Symphony Orchestra.
At age 18, Mike
enrolled at the highly acclaimed Manhattan School of Music where he
studied Jazz
Performance with Harvie S. After receiving his
bachelors degree from MSM, Mike attended Columbia University where he
earned a masters degree in Music Education from Teachers College.
At TC,
he studied classical bass with Linda McKnight & conducting with
Dino Anagnost.
While still in college, Mike began
subbing at the Westchester Broadway Theatre in Elmsford, NY. This
led to his taking over of the bass chair full-time. Mike
performed in over 16 productions at Westchester, including a featured
role in the musical SWING!. Since 2003, Mike has been on the road
touring with
such musicals as CATS, JOSEPH & THE AMAZING TECHNICOLOR DREAMCOAT,
and the 25th-Anniversary Tour of EVITA (supervised by Hal Prince &
directed by Larry Fuller).

Mike has backed many top
performers including jazz vocalist Jane Monheit, Broadway's Liz
Calloway & Leslie Krizler, Miss America 1998 Kate Shindle and
former
TESTAMENT guitarist
Alex Skolnik. Additionally,
Mike can be
heard on the
Original Cast Recording of the off-Broadway
show "I SING!" (Jay Records, 2004).
Mike currently resides in Las Vegas, NV where he recently subbed on MAMMA
MIA at the Mandalay Bay Theatre.
